BCGold CORP. Commences $1.5 million Exploration Program On Carmacks Copper-Gold Properties, Yukon

Vancouver, British Columbia - June 13th, 2007 - BCGold Corp. ("BCGold" or "the Company") is pleased to announce it has commenced a $1.5 million exploration program on its Carmacks Copper-Gold Properties in Yukon (Figure 1). The work program will consist of an airborne geophysical survey, geological and geochemical surveys, a structural targeting survey and a follow-up diamond drill program scheduled to commence in mid-late August.

BCGold is the largest landholder in the Carmacks Copper-Gold Belt and holds title to 17 properties comprising 16,274 hectares, situated proximal and adjacent to Sherwood Copper Corp.'s Minto deposit and Western Copper Corporation's Carmacks (Williams Creek) deposits. BCGold’s exploration strategy is focused on the discovery of stand-alone and satellite copper gold deposits to supplement mill feed for the nearby Minto and future Carmacks mining operations.

2007 Exploration Program
Aurum Geological Consultants Inc. out of Whitehorse, Yukon will conduct all the Company’s 2007 Yukon field work. Field crews have initiated surface grid installation and commenced soil and MMI geochemical surveys on the WS and Ice claims, south of the Carmacks (Williams Creek) deposit area. Prospector-geologists Anne and Peter Ledwidge of Dawson City, Yukon have been contracted to map and prospect the Company’s claim holdings. A portable excavator has been mobilized and trenching is to commence on the Ice claims next week.

In late May of this year Aurum Geological Consultants Inc. conducted a detailed site investigation and sampling program on a new copper-gold occurrence on the Company’s Ice claims, south of Western Copper Corporation’s Carmacks (William’s Creek) deposit. Assay results will be released shortly.

Aeroquest International Ltd. has been commissioned to conduct a 3,295 line-kilometre combined magnetic-radiometric airborne geophysical survey, at a line spacing of 200 metres, over BCGold’s Carmacks Copper-Gold Belt land holdings. A previous, wider-spaced government-sponsored survey flown on 500 metre spaced lines failed to detect the Minto deposit, currently being mined by Sherwood Copper Corp. Geophysical modeling suggests a tighter flight pattern incorporating 200 metre spaced lines would detect alteration features associated with a Minto- sized deposit.

SRK Consulting (Canada) Inc. is to integrate 2007 surface geology, geochemical and airborne geophysical results over the Company’s Carmacks Copper-Gold Belt properties and conduct a regional structural targeting study. This work will further define copper-gold targets for diamond drill testing. The Company has secured the services of Kluane International Drilling to conduct a minimum of 1,200 metres of diamond drilling to commence in mid-late August.

Carmacks Copper-Gold Belt Exploration Targets
The Minto and Carmacks deposits are structurally controlled, bulk tonnage copper-gold deposits that are currently in the mine development and reserve definition phase, respectively. Sherwood Copper Corp. is scheduled to commence commercial production at Minto in the third Quarter in 2007 and Western Copper Corporation has recently completed a feasibility study on the Carmacks Deposit, where construction is scheduled to commence in early 2008.

BCGold’s Carmacks Copper-Gold Properties were staked over areas with geological, geochemical and geophysical characteristics known to reflect near-surface, high grade structurally controlled copper-gold mineralization in the region.

Ownership Agreement
BCGold can acquire a 100% interest in the Carmacks Copper-Gold Properties by making $300,000 in cash payments, incurring a minimum of $900,000 in work expenditures and issuing 1,000,000 Units to Mr. Shawn Ryan of Dawson City, over a four year term.
